How does this work? Can I only use it 5 times? (meaning get from A to B uses 1/5) Or is it anytime during the day for 5 days? (As in I could travel to Tokyo to somewhere else as many times as I wanted to in a day and it would only count for 1/5 days)
Answer:
You can use it for 5 days unlimited (JR local/rapid trains) per day.
So on day 1 if you rode 500 JR local or rapid trains that is fine (of course only an extreme example).
Also it DOES NOT need to be consecutive days.
So if you wanted to ride trains on Monday then activate it monday, not use it Tuesday or Wednesday but start using it again on Thursday, that is OK too.
"One day" is not a 24 hour period, but rather, one day, so if you started using the pass at 9pm it will expire at 12am or at the final operating train of the day (for Tokyo and Osaka regions).
