Do Japanese automakers use patriotism to sell cars in Japan?

Question:

In USA American automakers rely heavily on patriotism to sell their cars. Do Japanese automakers do this in Japan or no? I was thinking probably not because most Japanese cars are already good but I was just wondering...

Answer:

Yes, you are right. Japanese cars are far more advanced, environment friendly, easy to drive and better looking. 99% of the Japanese are driving Japanese cars not because of our patriotism but because of the fact that Japanese automobiles are best in the world.
We know Americans are patriots, but why more than 30% of them are driving Japanese cars in the US?
