Wasn't it nice of Obama to deliver this present to Iran just in time for the holidays? And Iran has just enough time to repair it and restore it to operational condition in time to fly it to Israel for Hanukka.
Don't you think Israel is thrilled at the prospect of Iran flying a stealth drone into their airspace undetected, while they are off guard for the holidays? Hey, it worked for the Japanese at Pearl Harbor.
Why didn't the drone self destruct?
The drone has a self destruct module. It is programmed to auto destruct if communications are lost for more than a set amount of time. It has a separate power supply with battery backup. There is no plausible scenario for the self destruct module to malfunction under these circumstances.
If the drone landed intact, that means it was under control when it touched down. There is no way Iran did that without a command and control console. And there is no way Iran could have constructed one without help from the U.S. military industrial complex.
So we are left asking the same question we have been asking since 2009. Is Obama really this stupid? Or was it intentional?
