What's the best thing to do if i want to move to japan?

Out of all of my aspiration my biggest one i would say would be to move to japan. I love japans culture atmosphere way of life etc. i currently live in Southern California and attending long beach city college (LBCC) I've been recommended to go for the JET program (which i do intend on doing) but like anything that's temporary. I have a huge passion for music though. Should get a degree in music and go through the JET program and possibly get rigged into teaching music in japan? thoughts tips concerns? and if your wondering yes this legit thanks you guys looking forward to hte feed back oh and by the way as far as the language goes im semi-fluent and am expected to take the JLPT this coming summer.

If you want to be a musician/entertainer here in Japan, maybe play music in the bars/clubs, you have to apply for the entertainer visa. Research more about it if you have time:
