Will I be ok if I travel to Japan this April?

Question:

I need to transfer at Tokyo airport for 2 hours. I heard Tokyo is affected by radioactive. Will I be ok if I go there? I'm really scared right now but I cannot cancel my ticket.
What is the worst thing I will get while I'm there? (cancer...?)

Answer:

The amount of radiation you will have absorbed naturally while flying on any airplane anywhere in the world will FAR exceed any radiation you might absorb while being in the airport at Tokyo caused by the nuclear power plant.

That said, both levels of radiation are very well within the safe levels of radiation to absorb over a year.
