So what ever happened to japan?

Question:

What happened to the nuclear power plants! It was huge news then they just stopped broadcasting stuff about it. Did the power plants get fixed? What was happening on the news was that they were pumping water in to cool the cores. Are they still doing that? Did it finally become stable and everything is good now? Or did they explode? What's the deal with all of that and why was it never on the news?

Answer:

I think it's because you are watching non-Japanese medias. Japanese medias are talking about it everyday. But others are not interested in it so much, I think.

Fukushima Plant is not stable, yet. In fact, TEPCO said that they will stabilize it in 6-9 months. But many people doubt if they really can. I think it will take more than 1 year.

As Fukushima Plant is not fixed, more radioactive materials are going into air everyday. It's getting worse and worse.

Now kids in Fukushima, even if it's out of exclusion zone, are not allowed to play on schoolyard. Nor are they allowed to open windows.
