I ask because I'm doing a speech on Japanese culture and a friend of mine from there said it wasn't a social norm to eat in your car, so I wondered if they have drive thrus at all? Like for McDonalds and stuff like that.
Answer:
There are many fast food restaurants with drive-through and you most likely find them in suburb. There are not enough space to have drive through at restaurant in city area.
Eating in a car is probably not as popular as in US, but Japanese do eat in a car.
They have cool inventions like these.
