Question:
When i was in korea in 1970, we bought Ramien noodles. Now, the same thing is called Ramen boodles, What is the difference
Answer:
Korean ra-mien or ra-myun and Japanese ramen are all dishes based on Chinese la-mian. Ramien or ramyun is Korean pronunciation for la-mian while ramen is Japanese pronunciation for the exact same thing. If you are referring to instant noodles, then it is referring to the noodle dish it was suppose imitate. Needless to say, Chinese, Japanese and Korean noodle dishes all got their own characteristics.
