Is a simple connection flight at Narita safe?

Question:

I am traveling from JFK to Seoul with a connect flight in Narita. Travelling in mid-June of this year with two kids (9 & 13).

Answer:

It's perfectly safe. In fact flying on an airplane anywhere for a couple hours once will give you more harmful radiation exposure than several weeks/months or more spent living in Tokyo.

But the radiation you get from being on the airplane still isn't anywhere near the amount you need to have health issues.
