Question:

I'm a u.s. Citezen stationed in japan and would like to marry my Filipino citizen fiancé. She's still in the Philippines and has never been to japan.

It depends on what you mean by getting married.

You can have a wedding ceremony in Japan.

But if neither of you is Japanese, you can't submit marriage documents to Japanese authorities. You have to submit it to US Embassy or something.
