I want to go to Japan and was just wondering if someone wanted to tell me their favorite Japanese dish (and what the ingredients are please), just for fun and also because I wil make a note to try it.

Of course, the favorite dish of most of the Japanese are Sashimi.
But, I don't think you can make them by yourself, sorry.
My fav sashimi are: tuna, bonito, salmon and sardine.
