Is Japan a scary place to visit/live?

Question:

i really want to visit japan one day, but i usually here stuff like- japanese guys are perverts, or foreigners are cheated out of their money by japanese..
I love the japanese people and their culture BUT not to be stereotyping- are some japanese guys
gay O-o sorry for the rude question i just want to be prepared... thx!

Answer:

In short, Japan is a comparatively comfort place in the world
if you don't care about some quakes, I bet.
Yes, tragically, the massive quake and tsunami hit northeastern Japan
the other day.
But it's a rare case, one that happens once in 3 centuries.

By the way, here in Japan, in reality, murders or thefts are reported on
TV or in the newspapers, but it's not so often.
As for me, I've never heard or seen that kind of incidents on the spot,
neither in the main street nor in the back street firsthand
( with own my eyes or ears).

If you know and try some Japanese such as greetings, they'll surely
welcome and be kind to you!
