Japanese teenager question?

Question:

What is life like for a typical Japanese teenager, as far as family, school, activities, and recreation goes?

Answer:

Welll I'm half Japanese/American and I get shipped over there every summer, so I kinda have an idea of what it's like. I have to go to school there too.:/

Well, for a teenager, life can be fun. They have friends, and everybody's house is so close together they can walk to each others houses after school almost every day. The school is very strict, and they have a LOT of homework. They do outdoor activities during school gym hours, but its not very fun. Your melting in the sun, and you get really tired. For lunch, they eat in the classroom, in groups of 5 or 6 they call hans (Hahh-Nz) They'll put their desks together, when its lunch. The cafeteria makes lunch for everybody, and everybody eats the same thing. Basics; bowl of rice or soup, sometimes bread, a main dish, they ALWAYs have a little carton of milk, and sometimes you get orange juice. You are required to bring your own chopsticks, that you can buy anywhere. They have ALOT of different designs. After lunch, theres basically a long break, then they make you clean the classroom. (sweeping, washing floor w/ rag, cleaning the board, etc.)
For activities, japanese teenagers sign up for a thing called bukatsu. (boo-kah-tsoo) It's an activity they do at the school 24/7. All teenagers basically do it. They'll have soccer, tennis, judo, etc. But they have to do it every day after school until 6:00 PM, and on Saturdays. So their only day off is basically Sunday. OK, well I could go on and on but enough about school.
As I'm a girl, most girls in japan will go to the mall with their friends. Just like here, right? And they have little photo booths where they can take pics and edit them, then stick em on their stuff. There are hardly ever tomboys in japan. All the girls are interested in anime, bows, boys, gossiping, etc. Guys are all about their sports, or their a nerd, and into anime.
A japanese family is like an american family. Except they eat different stuff. Most houses have a Wii, too. Most teenagers don't have alot of normal clothes, because every school has this terrifying ugly uniform, and they can only wear them on Sunday, anyways. Teenagers in high School usually have a cell phone, but its usually a girl thing. And everybody has to walk to school, even if it takes 20-30 min.s Well I'm bored , so this is it. Hope this helpedd:)
