Question:
I want to name a character in a project of mine "Deathwish" as one word; it's fairly easy to translate into Romanized languages, but I was wondering what the shortest way of writing it as a name would be in Japanese. I understand this would mean "death wish": 死の願い , but that seems a bit long for a name.
Answer:
You can't use it as a name because it's such an ominous word that Japanese don't use it.
Neither 死の願い not 死願 are good as a name. It's awkward.
