How are WWI and WWII related? In what ways were they truly global conflicts?

Question:

Answer:

The two have their similarities and differences

The two wars did not begin as a Global convict. WWI began with Germany fighting Britain and France in Belgium. It was not a world war until Turkey enter and its front opened. WWII began with the Japanese expanding their empire in the Pacific and Asia. Both the allied powers were very unprepared for war were the Central and axis were ready. It became a Global conflict once Germany invaded Poland. They both had inevitable defeat when America fought against the central and axis powers. They both had many Technical advance as WWI saw the introduction of tanks, machine guns, and planes. WWII produce Jet engines, rockets, Nuclear weapons.

They are fairly different also. WWI was fought more for Independence for Austria-hungary case and to hang on the empire for Turkey case. WWII was fought for expansion of one country empire though racial and dominates. WWII was fought on more fronts(Eastern :Russia, Europe, North Africa, Half of the Pacific, and Asia) where WWI was mostly fought between France, Germany and Belgium. Many more people dies in WWII around 70 million vs. 17 million to wwI. WWI mostly used trench warfare and there wasn't near as many tanks battles as in wwII. WWII saw Blitzkrieg were planes accompany by tanks and infantry would tear the enemy lines at the weak spot and get a quick victory.

I would say they have their share of similarities, but WWII was fought on a level WWI wasn't at. I have all the respect of wwI soldiers but WWI is like the playoffs were WWII was the super bowl because the entire world was fighting.
