Translate this Japanese, 'Shina koto ga arimasu ka (したことがありますか)'?

Question:

I am still very new to Japanese and am having trouble working this one out.
Could someone give me the translation please?

ps online translators are no good for Japanese

Answer:

したことがありますか --> shi-ta koto ga arimasuka

"(Japanese verb -past tense-) koto ga arimasuka" is a typical phrase when you ask someone about his/her expericence in something. "Have you ever --verb p.p--?"

Nihon ni itta koto ga arimasuka? --> Have you ever been to Japan?
Nihon-go o benkyou-shi-ta-koto ga arimasuka? --> Have you ever studied Japanese?
