Nuclear Meltdown - Japan 2011?

Question:

Hey;

At the moment they are dumping tonnes of water on the powerplants, but wont that water become contaminated? Where is the water going after it gets tipped on the power plant.

Also...What is the current news there..whats the chances of a meltdown happening and what COULD happen if one occurs?
Thankyou

Answer:

At present the people in charge of these operations are unable to do what is need to stop the plant from degenerating further. They are doing everything they can, but one reactor's core is already exposed to the air and another is in a dangerous state. They refuse to dump Concrete on them-which is what they need to do-and are trying other things instead because they said they are quote 'trying to get them working' whatever that means. If there is a full meltdown it will contaminate the coastal plane and north to Honshu, as well as land to the west of the plant. It will probably not reach other Asian Countries or North America.
