Can you please explain the word 激動 and 著しい?

Question:

Gekidou has many definitions. Which is right or most common? How does it differ from 興奮と狂騒 ?
Dictionary definition --> "terrible shock; excitement, agitation; upheaval" ??

Ichijirushii also seems to mean a lot. How does it differ from other words that mean the same like sugoi and subarashii?
Dictionary definition --> "Remarkable, conspicious, amazing" ??

Answer:

激動 mainly means upheaval or radical change. It's not used on emotion. So excitement or agitation are not appropriate. Terrible shock is not so bad.

>How does it differ from 興奮と狂騒 ?

It depends on how you understand these. But there are used on emotion, right?

>How does it differ from other words that mean the same like sugoi and subarashii?

These 2 mean qualitative thing rather than quantitative which 著しい means. So these 2 do not mean "a lot". They do not mean the same with 著しい from the beginning.
