I just got a male Doberman puppy and I don't know what to name him! So far I want to give him a Japanese name, I've considered Haru, Hiro, Akane or Kira. I also want a name with meaning. He's going to be my baby so I a sweet name or a memorable name.

Miyako. It means "beautiful night (dark) child". Seems to fit a beautiful, dark colored dog who will be your baby, your child. :-)
my first dog was a Dobie when I was about 4. I'm 42 now and I still remember my Joplin.
