Read a newspaper report that the tsunami swept out to sea immense amounts of debris that is three times the size of Britain, and it's slowly heading for the American Pacific coast. Surely there are photos as this has been declared a great danger to shipping? And will any Pacific islands be in its path?

You can find some more by Googling "Japanese tsunami flotsam", though I didn't read anything regarding the size as being what you described. It did say it could take 1-3 years to arrive on the U.S. North Pacific coast.
