Question:
If someone goes to Japan and gets a sword or knife (something with a blade) as a souvenier in Japan how would they get it back to America? Are you allowed one on flights as long as it isn't carry-on? Or would it have to be mailed to yourself? How would that work? Thanks!

It seems you love hassle and stress. I know these objects are not usually allowed on planes these days and like Carl said, go for cheaper stuff or buy the sword or knife online when you get back
