Hello, i have a question regarding possibly being allowed to work in japan if i volunteer for a year?

Question:

okay so long story short, i saw in another question something about an orginization that allows for up to a year of volunteer work, (i'm in canada and am legible as far as i know)
afterwards, what would be the chances of getting a visa? (i don't have my ged or anything, but i'm prepared to work super hard for a year (regardless of result) to show my love to the country;
after working really hard for a year what are my chances - say getting a job as a cashier?
please let me know, i really do love japan and i'd give me left arm and right leg to be a part of it :)

Answer:

Yes, Canadians (18-25 years old) are eligible for Working Holiday Programs in Japan.

You need to submit all the documents to the Embassy of Japan in your country. When you are accepted (after going through interview), Working Holiday Visa is issued.

Since most of these young people are not so rich enough to support their one-year stay in Japan, WHV holders are allowed to work in Japan. But, you need to find your job on your own - this is not an easy task by any means. I heard that there are some private companies to help people come to Japan on WHV.
