For a flight to japan?

i am planning on going over to kyoto, japan this december, and i have some questions related to the travel.
What airline should i use? (i will depart from San Diego international airport).

when should i make reservation for the flight?

is there an international airport at kyoto, japan?

how much would the round ticket to japan cost?

and any other information that i must know prior to making a reservation?

The nearest international airport to Kyoto is Kansai International in Osaka Bay.
As for your other questions, book the flight no later than a month before your departure date as after that prices will rise the nearer the departure. The airline is irrelevant, just go for the cheapest ticket. The cost of the ticket varies, December is not a cheap time to travel.
