Here is my translation (I'm not sure but i think is ok for an informal letter).

日本語を学んでみているですけれど、
日本語を書くのが難しい。
しかし、努力を沢山したとしか言えない。話すために
ここにメールを入れています。
お話できたらとても嬉しいさ。またね ^_^

”嬉しいさ”is fine, if you are a cool guy.
otherwise "嬉しいよ". ^_^
