I'm interested in Japanese pop culture, and would like to have a Japanese pen-pal. But I've heard lots of stories about people who've got pen-pals on the internet and have been kidnapped. Do you know any safe ways to get pen-pals? My school doesn't have any Japanese exchange students, so I can't do it via school.
