What are Japan's natural resources?

Question:

My first guess is fish and rice. Are those two the biggest natural resources of Japan? I know Japan has limited space and I always hear people saying that Japan has no natural resources. Of course this isn't true right?

I always see products that are made in Japan.

Answer:

Fish or rice are not natural resources. Japan does not have much natural resources after all.

There used to be many coal mines in Japan. But now most of them are closed because it's better to import it. It's true though that Japan has some coals.
