I am going to japan for 6 weeks this summer, and have no idea what kind of clothes to bring. What kind of clothes would be most suitable for japan's weather? Also, I do not know where specifically I'm going, they haven't told me yet...

Summer is very hot and humid in Japan, so you should bring a lot of light clothes. It is usually warm and hot even through out the nights. June is the rainy season in Japan, so it might also be a good idea to bring some light wet weather gear like a jacket as there is usually a lot of rain.
