Answer:
I've flown from Edmonton to Tokyo...not a direct flight as you have to go via Vancouver. It takes about an hour and a half from Edmonton to Vancouver, right? Depending on the season it takes 8-10.5 hours to fly to Tokyo from Vancouver.
